Workshop Organised with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU)
WestechPower Management Pvt. Ltd. (Surge Supercapacitors) collaborated as the Industry Partner with Department of Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) for one-day workshop on Supercapacitors on 8th March 2025 to know the future of cutting-edge technology of Supercapacitors as a key player in energy storage system and renewable energy scenario in India and abroad.
The National Workshop on Supercapacitors provided an in-depth exploration of the latest advancements in supercapacitor technology, bridging the gap between laboratory research and industrial applications. Organized in association with WestechPower Management Pvt. Ltd., this workshop attracted researchers, faculty, and industry professionals, offering hands-on training, expert talks, and an industrial visit.
Main Objectives of the workshop were:
- To discuss the latest developments in supercapacitor materials, designs, and industrial applications
- To provide practical training on electrochemical workstations and techniques such as cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)
- To enable participants to witness real-world fabrication of supercapacitor modules during an industrial visit

Amit Bamzai, Founder & CEO, Surge Supercapacitors visited D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Pune to address the mechanical engineering students in an inspiring and insightful session.

Surge Supercapacitors marked a significant milestone with the successful celebration of its first Open Day on June 20, 2024, at Factory 1.0 in Pune. The event showcased the company’s cutting-edge production line dedicated to supercapacitor technology. The Occasion was graced by H’ble Director General, DRDO, Dr. Sreenivas Rao as the Chief Guest along with other H’ble dignitaries from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), highlighting the importance of this advancement in energy storage technology.
